What rifle scope should I get?
I'm pretty set on the Nikon Team REALTREE 3-9x. Now it's going to be mounted on a Remington R25 w/ a .308 cartridge. For mostly deer hunting in Michigan, should I get the 3-9x40 or the 3-9x50 ? Also should I use the factory RETICLE or change em out?
The Nikon is a very adequate scope and the 3x9x40 is a great deer scope and will serve you well. I like the Nikon and also own the 3x9x40 Leupold VX 2 and have no complaints. I would rather own a $200.00 rifle with a $400.00 scope than a $400.00 rifle with a $200.00 scope. Optics really do make a huge difference.
