When you go to a equine store to buy tack for a horse is the headstall for the bridle a one size fits all, i know you can adjust them but is there some measurements you have to know to buy the right size? its for a quarter horse...
No. they are typically sized as Oversized or Full Horse size, Horse, Arabian or Cob, Pony, etc.
Just measure your horse's head length from the corner of one side of the mouth to the corner of the other side. This gives you the length of the cheeks and poll of the bridle, which you can measure at the store to be sure it will fit.
