What is the easiest way to travel over seas with an infant?
Do you have any good tips to travel with an infant (9 mo)? I have traveled with him at 2 mo only for 1 hour and it was a nightmare with the stroller, carseat (infant carrier) diaper bag, purse trying to make bottles with him on my lap. it was just me and the baby and i was so overwhelmed with everything. Should i get 2 seats (i dont really want to because its cheaper) i will not be alone this time, i will have the father with me but i want to make this trip to germany enjoyable for myself and my son. I would like to know everythin as far as how to keep the baby occupied to how i should pack to make it simpler!! thanks!!
Try and keep things light. Only bring a few toys that your child actually plays with. Your baby is older now and is more curious about the world. You will need to keep him occupied. Try carrying a backpack instead of a diaper bag. It is easier for you and can hold a bit more. If your husband is going with you, then just get the 2 seats and every so often, give your baby to your husband to sit on his lap. This will also entertain your son as well so he is not just stuck with the same parent for a long period of time. Pack snacks that your son can eat. Get crayons and a pad of paper and color together. It might sound strange to do that seeing he is only 9 months, but it worked with my son at that age. If you have an MP3 player, load it up with baby songs that he can listen to. Depending on how long your going away for, just pack essentials as far as clothing goes and extra just for your son. Remember to bring your camera along and have a great vacation!
