Geisha face painting. Is there a technique?
Hi there, I'm having a Halloween Party and i've decided to go as a geisha. I bought some high quality white face paint off the internet and have tried it out twice already. But each time it's either too thin and it's streaky or it's too thick and it peels.
Does anyone know of special paint or a certain technique? 'Cause trying to get it to look smooth around the eyes and mouth is proving exceedingly difficult.
Add should make-up go on before or after the paint?
Any suggestions are welcome. I'm totally stuck! ><"
i don't think geisha's use paint for their face.
see if you can find a white powder instead..
after you've applied the white (onto your ENTIRE FACE including brows and lips), you paint the eyebrows.
then apply pink blush on your cheeks.
finally, red paint on the lips, be sure you don't apply like lipstick.
geishas usually paint thier lips so that it looks like their fuller and narrower.
have fun!
