Can I mount a laser to the side of my Yugo SKS?
I have a Yugo SKS with a Tapco stock that has the bayonet cut. My problem is I already have an aftermarket receiver with a 4x scope, so I can't put a laser on the rail that is on my gas tube/hand guard because it would block the optic. Since I have a bayonet cut on the bottom of the stock there is no rail provided. I've searched the net for a way to attach another rail to the existing rail on my gas tube, but have only found pistol L rail attachments that I don't think would fit, or might make the scope useless (if they do fit without blocking the scope please let me know). Beside barrel mounted red lasers ( that I'm worried would easily rattle off target) does anybody know a way I can remedy this with out buying a new stock or spending a ton of money? I would also prefer a green laser because of the further distance and easier sight. Thanks
I use a UTG high profile reciever cover with a weaver rail on top & a Leapers 4 X 32 scope.
