What is the value of my Colt 1911 pistol?
I have just aquired this gun. It is a Colt's MK IV/ Series 70 Gold Cup National Match .45 Automatic Caliber pistol in the 1911 frame. The gun is blued on top and nickle on bottom. It is stamped Customized by Austin Behlert Cranford, NJ on the side. I also got a brand new .22 caliber conversion kit with the gun that is in the original Colt box with box, outside label, and instructions in tact. Any idea how much this gun is worth. It was in a leather De Santis shoulder holster. It has some minor rub on the end of the slide from the leather. Other than that it appears to need a good cleaning, but about 95% condition to me, if not better. I am saying 95% due to the rub on the slide. I am not an avid gun owner, so I dont really know what I have here or if I am giving the condition percentage acurately. So lets just assume it is in 95%. I have not shot this gun. I have looked all over the net and cant find anything like "nada" for guns! LOL. Any help here? Thanks so much!!
Depends on what condition it's in, but there's a couple on Gunbroker going for over $1,500...
