buying a rifle scope,I can get 1 with a fine plex reticle,or a mil-dot recticle for $100 more,is it worth it?

fine plex is just 2 crossing lines, mil-dot is a range finding system

I would personably go with the Mil-Dot. But understand that it is not as easy as just putting a dot on a target at a specific distance. There is a lot of math and calculating that goes into using a Mil-Dot reticle effectively. You should do it just for the learning expierience. It is another thing to learn that you will use. It will also teach you several other aspects of shooting that you may or may have not known otherwise. If you buy a Mil-Dot Scope you should buy a Mil-Dot Master.
