Trying to decide between a Taurus 856 and a Ruger LCR .38...?
I've been doing a bit of online research and I've visited a few gun shops looking for a .38 for concealed carry and I've narrowed down my choices to a Taurus 856 or a Ruger LCR. The LCR is double-action only with no external hammer, and so far I've had trouble finding listings for holsters that it will fit in. I like the idea of a hammerless model in case I'm carrying the gun in a coat pocket--I wouldn't have to worry about the hammer getting caught on something if I'm pulling it out of my pocket or don't have time to pull it out of my pocket. But I've heard nothing but good things about the Taurus. Just wanted to see what you guys thought and get more opinions before I buy.
AL, how is the kick in the stainless steel model?
Do you want a external hammer? Weight? The Ruger is very light and feels good to most hands without external hammer. I would go with the Ruger.
