Powered finder scopes vs. Red-dot finder scopes for telescopes?
I know that its best to have both on your telescope, but I only have 1 dovetail. Which do you prefer and why? I will be choosing between an EZ finder II and a 9X50 Straight through finder
Dark sky: red dot (or Telrad).
Not so dark sky: finder scope.
My big Dob has both...I like right-angle finders. A lot of people don't. YMMV.
