Should police be able to shoot runaway car drivers?
If not they should. I think police should have the right to use helicopters to gun down runaway cars with ARs that are showing clear disregard for other's safety and likely to seriously injure somebody.
They would gun you down in a second in a supermarket if you were waving a gun around threatening people, why not in a car endangering people?
I really wish somebody would start a petition about giving the police more leeway to protect the public in this situation
Contrary to some people's assumptions here, I am talking about as a last resort, when the people are obviously fleeing police, when they are flying through intersections and red lights, and sometimes even shooting at police and passersby. Letting them go until they have an accident with an innocent party should not be an option! Give the police more leeway to decide who's a danger and what to do about it. You shoot one of these guys and the problem will stop over night.
they should not, but the police men do have the right to shoot if they feel that public safety is at stake. They can shoot or even put those tire stakes down to slow down the offender
