How heavy is your AR style rifle?
I finally finished outfitting my AR with everything I planned on having on it, and am really happy with my setup. I finally got around to weighing it on my bathroom scale (which probably isnt all that accurate) and it came out to 9.8 pounds fully loaded with a 30 round Magpul magazine. I was wondering, what does your AR weigh?
Heres what I have.
-Rock River Arms A4 flattop Midlength with 16' chromed lightweight barrel
-CAA 6 position stock
-Custom made 3 Point Sling
-Eotech 512.A65/1
-RRA Midlength quad rail free float handguard
-Olight M20 flashlight with pressure tapeswitch.
-Olight Mount
-RRA ladder style rail covers.
-ARMS low profile flip up rear backup sight
-Flip up front sight gas block.
And I run Magpul magazines as opposed to USGI metal ones.
my dad has 3 Ar-15s,all of them are colts,and now he got a lower receiver and a 10.5 inch barrel and now he has 3 colt Ar-15s,and an m4...the m4 weighs about 3 pounds,and the 3 Ar's weigh about 5 pounds.
(only difference between m4 and 1r is the name on the lower receiver.)
