What is a FireArm Die Set ?
A guy in my local area is offering a nice old Marlin 30-30, and it comes with a bunch of extra stuff ... including a RCBS F L Die Set. I'm not too educated when it comes to firearms, so what exactly is a die set?? Thanks in advance.
A set of dies is used with a press to reload ammo. There is a die that re-sizes the brass case and removed the spent primer, a second die to open the case mouth so the bullet can be started and a third that seats the bullet and crimps the case onto the bullet. If you get into reloading, you will need these dies and you will need to get the other pieces of equipment that you will need. I recommend the Lee Classic press kit available from Cabela's as www.cabelas.com.
