can you tell me some gun types? whats your favorite? also help with these discriptions?
hey, im writing a book set in a post apocalyptic world, i need real gun types to support my story, it would be great if you could tell me your favorite gun and describe it to me or just try and figure out what i want with these discriptions and give me a name that sounds similar to what i describe.
1. just some small hand held guns, some with 6 bullets others 12, all colors.
2. medium guns, kind of the size of your lower arm, mean looking, has those things you slip in, mags i think? and its automatic.
3. any guns that are automatic with night vision?
4. assult rifle? elaborate for me.
5. the biggest, meanest, ego boosting, violent looking guns that you know of.
6. your favorite gun?
thankyou so much in advance.
Hello there,
1. Hand held. My favorite is the Colt 1911. It is a 45 acp semi automatic. Generally takes a 7 round clip. Later versions, such as the Colt Combat Commander take a 6 round clip. A 15 round clip used to be available for those. The 15 round clip extends out the heel of the grip quite a ways and is not comfortable to shoot. Great stopping power. Great classic looks.
Another handgun would be a Smith and Wesson (S&W) 44 Magnum. I forget the model. If you need it, I can check. It has a 8 inch barrel. It is a 6 shot revolver. That is the Dirty Harry gun.
Another handgun is the Desert Eagle 50 cal. That shoots a big bullet and has quite a kick to it. About 10 years ago they were all the rage. Not so popular now. Typical semi automatic looks.
A vintage handgun is the Colt Single Action. Those were most popular in 44-40 or 45 long Colt. That is the classic cowboy gun.
A small semi automatic would be the Walther PPK. That is the handgun of James Bond. Another classic.
2. Medium guns? Not sure what you mean here. Maybe the Hi Point 9mm carbine. Those are fun to shoot. Light weight. Ammo is cheap; it uses 9mm handgun ammo. Comes with a 9 round clip only. It is a post ban firearm and no larger magazines were made for it. This gun got a bad reputation because it was used in the school shooting at Columbine.
3. Night Vision. Night vision optics are add ons to firearms. You can install them on many different ones.
4. Assault rifle. True assault rifles are full auto. These are military weapons. The classic one is the Russian AK-47. It is a full auto with a 30 round clip. 40 round clips are available. A 100+ drum is also available. Shoots a 7.62x39 round
Another is the US made M-16. The black rifle. Shoots 223. Much like its opponent, the AK-47, it is full auto. and also has select fire (3 round bursts). In use with US troops. Can be fitted with a scope or night vision optics.
The Israeli Uzi would be a full auto. It is shorter than the two I listed. Probably fits in either the 1st or 2nd question. 9mm.
The lawmakers and other anti-gun nuts define assault rifle so much looser than what it truly is. That would include the AK-47 semi auto, the SKS semi auto and the AR-15.
5. Biggest etc? I really don't relate to that. While not very mean looking, the Barret 50 is a long range sniper rifle in 50 cal. That is a big round. Deadly at a mile (in the right hands). The victim gets hit by the bullet before he hears the shot.
6. Favorite? I am a fan of the Colt 1911 and the Colt SA. Those are my favorite auto and revoler. I like the Ruger 1022. Nice shooting 22 cal. Fun to shhot and can be customized. The Colt AR-15 is a great rifle. I like the Winchester Model 12 shotgun. I like the Winchester Model 94 rifle. that is the lever action rifle of the cowboys. I like the Mosin Nagant rifle. It is 7.62x54. Most are Russian. I like the Sako ones. Of course there is the Mauser 98. A classic bolt action rifle chambered in a variety of rounds. Most commonly in 7mm 8mm or 308 Nato. I like the Winchester Model 70 riffle chambered in 30-06. It is available chambered for various rounds. I like the 30-06. Nice accurate rifle. Bolt action.
