how much would it cost to have a gunsmith drill and tap my rifle?
I recently bought a mil surplus mauser model 98 and it is in very good condition. I intend on mounting a scope and seeing how far that 8mm will fly. what would it cost to mount a scope on a old mauser and are there any other ways and their costs. I'm on a budget for this rifle.
it depends on where you go, and how good of a job done some will do it for as cheap as 100 but other big league guys may charge 800-2000, u get what u pay for but not going over board because it can only be done so good.
