How much is a wooden box marked 'Small Arms Ammunition' w/10 boxes of unopened shotgun shells worth?
Box is finger-jointed and in good condition. No cover. Shell boxes are 2 piece and have paper band sealing them. Assorted shot sizes. 16 guage. Also have cardboard case (20 boxes) of 16 guage rifled slug. Think these are 1950's era. Thanks
Ammo collecting is about like anything else
Some little mark on the box or shell could change the value significantly
But they are far from worthless
If I am understanding you
You have 10 boxes of unopened 50's vintage 16 ga birdshot
And 20 boxes of slugs
That should go for between $50 and $75 or so just as shooting ammo
I sell boxes like that all the time at shows for $10 to $20
Here's an idea of what current production ammo is going for for 16s so you can do your own math
