This is going to be interesting. My question consists of the following subquestions: 1. Can a 14 year old teen?
open carry a pistol? This is for serious answers only. The Second Amendment gurantees the right to keep and bear arms. So legally could I carry a pistol in my hand, not in a holster. Also, second is why cant I legally carry a gun in a holster, in Mississippi, at the age of 14. To back my info up Fox News ran this story.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,274138,00.html. The Second Amendment to The United States Constitution states that any person of any age. How can the States impose laws about age restrictions. Doesn`t the United States Constitution ovveride all State Constitutions, therefore ovveriding all age restrictions. I`m only 14, but i`m EXTREMELY interested in learning about politics and government. Please clarify me on this subject
As a minor, your rights, including your Second Amendment rights, are exercised through your parents, so when you are 18, then you can exercise them for yourself.Just like your parents can give the police permission to search your room.
NOTE to wvpackerfan68: The Supreme Court of the United States has stated that your opinion of the D. C. gun law which made "the requirements so convoluted and stringent as to effectively make guns illegal" was Unconstitutional.
