Ruger 10/22 question?
Ok so I want to get a Ruger 10/22. I was looking to get a synthetic stock with stainless barrel, but there was this deal at the local gun shop. You could get a classic wood stock Ruger with blued finish with a pre-mounted scope valued at $70 and a 25 and 10 round magazine and the whole package turns out to be $10 more than the stainless with synthetic without upgrades. If I were to get the stainless, I was planning on getting these upgrades anyway so buying the stainless and upgrades would be like $350 instead of $250 for the combo. Basically should I sacrifice the looks of the stainless for the upgrades on the classic? Also I was planning on replacing the stock later with a tactical stock anyways so it comes down to this...blued or stainless?
if you will be doing any mods to any Ruger 10/22 buy the cheapest one you can find. the fact that the gunshop one comes with a scope and 2 magazines would seal the deal for me. I would by the wood stocked blued version for less money, then get the aftermarket stock and barrell that suits you. there are literaly thousands of aftermarkets for the 10/22 and they are cheap for the most part.
