Lee Reloading Die Question?
Whats the difference between the Lee's bullet seat/crimp die and the Lee's factory crimp die
the only thing I can see is one seats the bullet/crimps in one stage and the other one just crimps so why do people have both and they will say their bullets load better after the factory crimp
Either will do well, but the difference is what they do. The bullet/crimp combines 2 steps into 1 die and you may see an incredibly marginal difference in consistency. The other, you use the bullet seater to seat and then the crimp die does nothing but the crimp so the bullet depth is never touched. 99.99999% of shooters will never see a difference in downrange performance.
