is a revolver or a semi auto pistol better for a beginner pistol shooter who wants to compete?
I like revolvers because of their simplicity but semi auto have quick reloads and more ammo capacity. thanks
For pistol shooters there are competitions galore and virtually all of them have classes for both revolver and semi - auto. In some the classification scheme is somewhat more complicated for semi - autos than revolvers, but that doesn't really matter until you get good enough where such things become significant.
So, pick whatever you like. Generally, in competition you will not have revolver and semi auto shooters competing against each other.
