Lee die sizing with decapping need help?
I just tryed to remove my first 9mm primer from the shell and the primer push pin stayed stuck in side the die cant get it to come back out in the die instructions it says it can be resent .
what makes it get stuck dose not need lube right..
cant tell for sure from the way the question is worded but it sounds like the de capping pin was pushed up in the die.
they are adjustable & removable. use a 3/4" wrench on the 2 flats on the die & a 1/2" wrench on the split nut that holds the de capping pin.
turn the 1/2" nut counter clockwise until its loose enough to slide the de capping pin up & down, set the pin as the instructions say, then tighten the nut to hold it.
if you have a case stuck in the die you can remove the de capping pin & lock nut from the die & then drive the stuck case out of the die with a hammer & brass punch.
incidentally, you cant use the standard de capping pin on cases that are berdan primed because theres no hole in the center of the primer pocket. it will only work on boxer primed cases with the hole in the center. make sure you only buy boxer primed ammo for reloading
