what is a good but cheaper spotting scope?
looking for something under $120 that delivers clear image. use it for hunting and telling how many points deer and elk have. preferably one's that come with a case and tripod. recommend ones that you have looked at personally not just on the internet please. Thanks!
I work at a sporting goods store. Barska makes a decent 20-60x60 which we sell for around 79.99. I have one as well that i mostly use at the gun range. Viewing at 50m you can easily read the writing on the targets (company's name, numbes etc...). at 100m its pretty clear as well, clear enough to see 22 and 223 holes in a black target anyway. It comes with a soft case and a tripod. if you want to move up you can get a 20-88x90 i believe it is for around the price your looking for. it comes with a hard case, tripod, and hand grip (much like a pistol grip). They make a smaller one, that is 10-45x60 or something like that. hand held its nearly useless but on its tripod, that only stands about 5in off a surface its pretty nice up to probably 75m as far as range purposes go but im sure you'd be able to view a deer alright. that one goes for about 40 or 50 bucks. all of them come with limited lifetime warrenty.
