Should I double major in Art History and English?
I am currently an english major, but I have I have been contemplating for a while now on doing a double major and a minor. I would love to do art history because it's fascinating, but I can't do it alone since I am at the community college level and they only offer the 2 standard intro classes.
Do you think it would be worth it? I am almost done with my english major requirements before I have to transfer, I have about 4 semesters under my belt right now of english classes. I will be doing a minor in french and learning italian on the side as well.
I would just really love to do museum work or be a creator but I also would love to be a writer. It's a tug between the two. I just don't know if I should do a major in Art History and do a minor in English and French, or just double major.
Please help!
And what are some good grad schools with art history that you know of?
Well if you really like it, you might as well go for it. I don't know much about minoring or double majoring but it is possible to get a job. For the grad school thing, I know randomly that at John Hopkins you can get a masters and PhD in art history. The only problem with art history is that you need a good background in both french and german so you would have to be quick to make up for lost ground. Good luck!
