Which is the right way up to use a swizzle stick?
I'm talking about the standard shaped ones with a small ball on one end and a circular paddle at the other (not the decorative or flat sided ones which can only be used one way).
My friend holds the paddle and stirs the drink with the small ball end. I was always told the paddle should be placed in the drink and the ball held between the palms of your hands, so you can spin the paddle to mix the drink.
Which is right?
It makes no difference at all - there are no rules for the darn things.
