looking for good .22 revolver?
for Christmas i got a mark III 512 and its a very nice accurate pistol and it got my father interested in a gun of his own. since we already have a semi auto and because they are easy to care for with an old school charm we settled on a revolver. He has little experience in guns so i lead him to a .22 for the low recoil and great price of ammo and now just need to find the gun for him. it shouldn't be a super expensive piece because it would be a starter gun but i would like it to be accurate enough that if he misses we know it was his fault not the guns. Taurus seems to a reputation for shoddy work and hit or miss construction. Ruger single six's seem like it would be a pain to load and its convertible so accuracy seems like it would take a hit. i don't claim to be an expert and don't know much about revolvers so feel free to correct me on anything. any recommendations would be appreciated and thank you in advance.
On a budget, I would go with the Ruger Super Single Six. Yes, they do take longer to load and unload, but they are reliable and sturdy little revolvers.
If money is not a problem, then look at the Smith & Wesson 22 revolvers. The older model 17 or the model 617. Great handguns, but they are not inexpensive.
