My 10 mos. old doesn't want to eat?
My 10 mos. old baby has been really fussy this week and is flipping out at meal times. She cries, keeps her mouth tightly closed, and swats at the spoon or pulls her hair when I try to feed her. Her formula intake is also low, like 2 ounces of every usually 6 oz. bottle.
I took her to the pediatrician and her ears, throat, everything is fine. They gave me the generic "teething" answer, but she has 4 teeth and has never refused food (she loves to eat). I have also given orajel, teething tablets, and tylenol and they do not seem to help the eating situation.
A friend suggested that maybe she was ready for table food, so I tried offering only finger foods and she flings them on the floor. I am at my wit's end! I manage to get about half a jar a feeding through some crazy distraction, but that only gets me so far. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Mine is doing the SAME thing! I just try not to make a big deal...I think it is a phase or teething.
