What's a good tactical bug-out shotgun?
I'd like a heavy-duty workhorse. I was looking at some of the Wilson combat "border patrol" series and see if anyone has comments on these. The MAP price on these runs over 1k...
$1000?.... Just because you spend $1000 does not mean you will get any more reliability than a $300 Mossberg 500 12 guage pump shotgun......
That's the thing about shotguns... You could spend $1000, $10000 or even $1000000 and still not have a more reliable shotgun than a Mossberg 500.....
Take a look!...... This is a 6 shot Mossberg 500 18 inch barrel security shotgun, catalog # 50411

That Wilson Combat shotgun is based on a Remington 870 pump shotgun.... In a gunfight you don't want an 870.... Here are the technical details why!....

I'm not Donald Trump, but I do have all the money in the world to purchase any kind of gun I want.... I also own many fines AR15, AK type, Ruger semi-auto rifles, as well as Remington 870 and other fine shotguns..... BUT - THE ONLY shotgun I trust with my life is the Mossberg 500 hanging behind my bedroom door..... IF YOU really need more heavy duty then consider a Mossberg 590.... Those are Mossbergs heavy duty combat models... I own a few of those too but think they are a little too heavy duty for home defense so the 500 is fine.....
