Tasco Pro Point Red dot scope ?
I have a couple questions about this product?????
1 - Is this a decent brand scope for a high powered rifle ?
2 - Can this mount on a Picatinny rail ?
The short answer is yes the ProPoint would mount and hold up to the recoil. Now to all of the drawbacks: The Picatinny locking slot width is 0.206” and the Weaver locking slot is .180" in width. So unless you get new rings to fit the Picatinny, your scope could move around and not hold your zero. The bigger problem is that “high powered” rifles are usually used for shots 100 yards and farther. With the ProPoint red dot scope you will find that the dot will cover approximately a 4” area at 50 yards and cover even larger areas as the distances increases. This leaves you without the ability to make accurate shots at any real distance.
