Tree Stand for hunting?
Hi I'm planning to buy a tree stand for hunting (Deer and Black Bear...)I use to build my own with wood...but I would like to get a portable one..any idea of what not to buy or to buy>>> thanks for answering...
First of all, do not go cheap. It is important that your stand be safe and secure. It must be strong enough to hold you and all of your gear. It must be able to be easily secured to the tree so that it does not shift when you are on it. Since you will be spending hours sitting in it, it must be able to provide you with a comfortable seat but it must also be able to let you stand easily to take your shot. It must also be easily transportable. You don't want to struggle a few yards into the woods and then give up and set it up before getting to the sweet spot further into the woods. When you have found one that provides safety (the most important consideration), comfort and ease of transportation, you have found the tree stand for you.
