Leatherman Multi tool, if you could only take one for survival, which model do you recommend?
I am looking at Leatherman Charge Al, ALX, and also Surge.
The Surge may be a good tool but it is big and heavy compare to other two. Do not know if I want to be carrying it around in survival situation, also who would need screw bids so much in the wood / wilderness? Al or ALX is somewhere between Wave (cheaper blade) and TTi (more expensive). Do not know much difference about AL or ALX for the purpose I am looking for.
I have never used one of the damn things and pride my self on that fact! What the hell am I gonna pack that thing around in the forest for anyways?.....I mean really?.What does it have that I cant get buy with out ? I like my swiss army knife , but you know what apparatus I use most on that knife, more than the blade?.........the freakin' tweezers.....they are great for pullin bark splinters, other than that, thats about all the dead weight I want to carry!
