Tips on goose hunting, anything!?
Please tell me all the tips you have on goose hunting.. I am new at this.. I have hunted many species of animal before (deer,turkey partridge) however Goose hunting is the most difficult Ive ever tried.. Any tips would be good. I have a very good 12 gage shotgun, Maybe tell me some good goose calls (i dont think my Knight and hale pit magic short reed call is doing the trick) Needless to say, Im new at this and I need some tips about anything you know about goose hunting. Thank you
I started using a the "laydown blind" a few years ago...
We set up in a pasture or feild next to a pond or lake ... call em in ---flip the blind open and eat geese later.
Water fowl calling is an art. Buy the records, search the web... find a good caller and learn from him... nothing better than to "hear" until you can mimic what he does.
Once you really know what the calls sound like ---then you will find a Call that works for you. Every call made will sound different depending on who is using it...
