in magic the gathering: what type of deck do you other magic players think is better? green-blue or green-red?
cause right now i have a green-blue but i was thinking of turning into a green-red. i thought of this because i had previosly kept getting beaten by people that play with a burn deck. and idont use blue for things like countering so i was thinking of amking a blue deck too. but i definetly want gren in it.
In a "potential vacuum", blue/green (UG) and red/green (R/G) are roughly equal. However, because R/G is primarily a very aggressive type of deck, it will generally trump a U/G deck.
Yes, there are ways around this. The easiest way I've found (I had the same problem you had before, with a U/G deck that always got beat by R/G decks) to deal with the problem is to use creatures like Elvish Visionary and Wistful Selkie that can chump block without regrets in the early game combined with Snakeform and Unsummon to deal with any buffing guys they hold back on defense (Bramblewood Paragon, Elvish Perfect, etc.). This allows you to build up cards in hand while they burn theirs.
The ultimate solution, though, is using Evacuation. This allows re-use of all of your "comes-into-play" creatures (which I use many of) and completely stalls out your opponent - after an Evacuation, you can generally gain control of the board and keep it that way.
