Question regarding Marine Corps uniform policy?
I just got out of the Marine Corps, and never really bothered to get this cleared up. My wife and I are planning on hiking up a local mountain soon (Mount Si) and plan on using my woodland digital cammie trousers as part of my hiking wear. I've found that they make for good comfort and maneuverability in situations like these, and I'd much prefer them to hiking pants. I know the USMC policy forbids utility uniforms being worn off-base, but since I'm technically not enlisted any more, I should be good, right? Just asking, guys. Thanks much in advance for any info!
First answer-good point. Still, I made a couple of mistakes with my uniforms early on in my experience with the Corps, and don't want to repeat it. Good point though-only punishable by NJP and I'm not technically under the UCMJ any more
You are out of the corps... You could walk down time square with your Alpha coat, skivies and a smile and the commandant couldn't say boo to you.
