Can anyone help with camera parts?
I have a Canon zoom lens EF 75-300 mm 1;4 - 5.6 III. At the end of my lens where the lens cap snaps on, there is a ring with three tiny screws. The lip of that ring broke in two places. My lens works fine, but my camera lens cap won't stay on because of the break, also I can't screw on a filter because of the break. Can the part be replaced?
Maybe. Try canonusa.com.
You could take it to a camera repair shop, but the minimum charge would be $40.
Can you glue the ring back together separate from the lens?
I would try that. If there's any chance of gluing other parts together in the process - then forget it.
Try placing a wanted to buy post on e-Bay for the part. Repair shops often by damaged equipment for parts from there (it's cheaper to get multiple parts that way).
